Leadership Message      Our TeamÂ
As we reflect on another incredible year of granting life-changing wishes, we are reminded of the profound impact that our community of supporters—donors, volunteers, medical partners, and staff—has on local children facing critical illnesses. Your partnership fuels our mission, and we are deeply grateful for your continued dedication to bringing hope and joy to keiki across Hawaii.
Â
Within this report, you will see moving stories of resilience, strength, and the transformative power of a wish. You’ll meet wish kids like Krayson, whose wish to have a therapy clubhouse provided him with a safe, focused environment for learning and growth, and kids like Randallyn, whose wish to be a supermodel in New York City gave her the courage to dream and proved that her strength is limitless. You’ll also learn about the invaluable contributions of our medical and community partners, whose steadfast belief in our mission enables us to continue granting life-changing wishes each year.Â
Â
We also witnessed the incredible generosity of our community through record-breaking fundraising events, where wish families, supporters, and partners came together to celebrate the power of a wish. In April, we introduced World Wish Month, an initiative that invited the community to become WishMakers and bring transformative wishes to keiki across the state. Throughout the month, we rallied together through a telethon, media segments, corporate partner campaigns, and even illuminated landmark buildings in blue to raise awareness. These events and campaigns not only raised crucial funds to grant wishes but also strengthened our shared commitment to delivering hope to children when they need it most.Â
Â
Wishes are much more than having something or going somewhere—they provide strength, hope, and joy during some of life’s most challenging times. They give kids the chance to think of what is possible when they are being told what’s not. With your support, we are able to reach more keiki in need, ensuring that no child has to wait one day longer than necessary to experience the magic of a wish.Â
Â
Mahalo nui loa for being an integral part of the Make-A-Wish Hawaii ‘ohana. Together, we are transforming lives, one wish at a time.Â
